What led you to choose to work for
Homestead Road?
I actually met Andrey about six years
ago while I was with my former employer. I remember being impressed
by Andrey’s ability to dig deep into
the issues that really matter. I also
remember the team’s attention to
detail at the time of my visit — my
sense was that this company really
had it together. In the summer of
last year, we started talking more,
and it ultimately led to Andrey inviting me to join the team.
How long have you been with Homestead Road and what do you do?
I had the pleasure of joining Homestead Road in August of last year. I’m
responsible for helping the company grow. Growth includes pursuing
new business-to-business channels
for home acquisitions, supporting
geographic expansion, exploring
new businesses that can complement what we do today, and helping
the company’s existing operations
become more pro昀椀table.
What 2-3 words might your past
customers use to describe working with you?
I think most would say two things:
honest and perceptive. I consider
one of my strengths to be the ability
to “read the room” or understand
what another person is thinking.
I’ve come to believe that trying to
walk in other people’s shoes is a
great way to build lasting rapport
and relationships. Doing so has enabled me to develop some really
deep friendships — almost like a
brother or sister.
What aspect of your job gives you
the most positive energy?
Without a doubt, solving challenging
problems. My strength is in strategy and 昀椀nding a way to achieve an
objective when the path is not always clear. I get tremendous energy
from seeing a direction that I helped
bring to life deliver real impact.
