Fall ‘26 Issue
all in Minnesota has its own kind of energy. The mornings get a little
cooler, the leaves begin to change, kids head back to school, and
almost overnight our calendars start filling up again. There are football
games, fall festivals, weekends outside — and those first evenings when
staying home with something warm suddenly sounds like a very good
plan.
I recently came back from a family vacation in Europe, and somewhere
along the way I realized something funny: I actually missed the busy
days. I missed the conversations, the problem-solving, our team, and
even that feeling of starting the morning without knowing exactly where
the day might take me.
Summer puts us in a different rhythm. Vacations, long weekends and
late sunsets give us permission to slow down and forget about the usual
rush for a while. And then one morning, you step outside and the air
feels different. Fall is coming. Before you know it, we’ll be carving
pumpkins, gathering around the table for Thanksgiving and getting
ready for Christmas. I’ve always loved that stretch of the year — the
traditions, the time with family and friends, and the way home somehow
becomes the place you want to be a little more often. After a good
summer, it feels nice to turn the page and have all of that ahead of us.
We tried to bring some of that feeling into this issue. You’ll find ideas
for enjoying fall around Minnesota, a closer look at communities known
for great schools, some of the colors and design trends we’re seeing in
homes this season, and, of course, a little Halloween inspiration.
Real estate is our business, but after doing this for many years, I’ve
learned that the house itself is rarely the whole story. There are always
people behind it, and usually a reason why they’re ready for something
different.
Thank you for reading, and for continuing to be part of the Homestead
Road community.
Enjoy the fall,
